Some Achievements in Brief
- A role in securing Crookston’s 1997 1.4 million block grant for the first phase of an Army Corps of Engineers project
- Sped high speed wireless to Crookston via a state telecommunications grant involving Halstad Telco.
- I also put the former Wayne Hotel on the Minnesota Preservation Alliance’s Top Ten Endangered List causing the attention of Metro Plains Development.
- Recently I completed the brochure, “What’s Special about Crookston? The Specialty Shops!"
- Established Kay’s Attic & Antique Emporium
- Established a Morgan horse breeding farm well-known nation-wide for quality and service
- Founder of the national "Rainbow Morgan Horse Newsletter", established for 18 years
- Effected the color rules changes in the American Morgan Horse Registry
- Organized and funded the remodeling of the Crookston Public Library
- Organizer and Volunteer Art Class Instructor at Cathedral School.

- Aided the retention of over 240 farm families through ability to organize and coordinate support from professional and technical staff, legal, accounting, and financial assistance resources.
- Successfully sought and received $800,000 of funding from Legislature.
- Successfully wrote grants, awards totaled over $119,000.
- Received the coveted NW Minnesota Foundation’s “Project Excellence” award for FARM WRAP® modeled after flood recovery.
- FLOOD RECOVERY COORDINATOR of the Northwest Regional Development Commission, Warren, MN. July 1997-June 1999.
- Received the State, “Minnesota Recovers” Award of Excellence in Flood Recovery.
- Led the development of “Project Farm Wrap,” designed to create teams to reach out to provide comprehensive service to farm families in distress.
- Facilitated regional unity through newsletters, news columns, and public speaking.
- Led the development of the “Last Hurrah,” designed to find and help the last flood victims through new work crews similar to “Sentence to Serve” funded by the American Red Cross $90,000.
